Mic / Signal

Microphones are usually connected using 3 pin XLR connectors, but some cheaper systems may use Jack or even mini-jack (eg standard computer mic input).

These are not very good when compared with the normal balanced connection you get using XLR connections and a quality mic preamp, so please ask if you are in any doubt as to what you need 

NB: This is also the cable you need to pass the signal into powered speakers, amplifiers etc etc
